In October of 1960, Mary married A. Walter MacEachern and started their family in Randolph, Massachusetts. She and Walter raised 6 children, settling in Woburn, Massachusetts. She and Walter were very involved in the local community including teaching CCD, coaching sports and volunteering at St. Barbara`s Church. In later years after her children began their own families, Mary and Walter transitioned to the North Shore after spending many years summering and boating in Salem, Marblehead and their eventual home in Swampscott, Massachusetts. As Members of the Corinthian Yacht Club, they enjoyed many family weddings, brunches and sunsets on the porch of Marblehead Harbor.
Her focus was always on her family, especially her husband and her children. She cared so deeply about others and always made all around her feel comfortable. Her compassionate nature was evident in never forgetting a birthday, baptism, wedding or anniversary. She lived with an incredible sense of style and grace that was timeless. Her keen loyalty and devotion to those she loved, coupled with her prescient class will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions be made to St. Jude`s Children`s Hospital.
