TEWKSBURY: Gerald P. Teas, age 63, a resident of Tewksbury for over 50 years, passed away at the Tewksbury Hospital on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, following an extended illness.
He was the loving father of Sage Alexandria Cavanaugh of Marshfield.
Born in Boston on August 16, 1957, he was the beloved son of Gerald M. Teas and Nancy L. (Jones) Teas, who survive him and reside in Tewksbury.
Gerry was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury schools and was a graduate of the Tewksbury Memorial High School Class of 1976.
Gerry loved sports. He played youth hockey in Tewksbury, and during his high school years, he was a member of the Tewksbury Redmen Hockey Team which during the 1974-75 season played in the Eastern Massachusetts State Division 2 Semi Finals at the Boston Garden.
Prior to his illness, he worked as a contractor in the pool construction industry.
In addition to his daughter and parents, he is survived by his siblings, Brenda Andella and her husband Thomas, Robert T. Teas, and Jean M. Conley and her husband David, all of Tewksbury, and James S. Teas, of Lowell.
Gerry also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 16, from 9-11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, to be followed by his Memorial Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury.
