Priscilla A. Hamel, a longtime resident of Woburn passed away, April 21, 2020, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center of Burlington at the age of 86. Priscilla was the beloved wife of the late Harvey J. Hamel. Born in Arlington she was one of five children of the late Joseph and Frances (Gallucci) Errico.
Priscilla was a devoted wife, mother, nana and great nana. Her family and their well-being was always her first priority in life. She will fondly be remembered for her unconditional love and devotion to her family, her strong work ethic and her open door policy where everyone was always welcomed and made to feel comfortable in her home. Priscilla loved to entertain. She was life of the party and was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends, cooking a fabulous meal and making sure that everyone had enough of food and was taken care of before she would sit down to eat. When not caring for her family, Priscilla enjoyed playing bridge with her life-long girlfriends and being one of the greatest New England Patriot fans. She will be greatly missed.
Priscilla was the devoted mother of; Keith J. Hamel and his wife Kathleen of Natick, Beth H. Siegenfeld and late husband Daniel of Ossining, NY, Mark H. Hamel and his wife Alessandra of Woburn and the late Carolyn M. Doherty and her husband Thomas of Reading. She was the loving nana of Kristin Haggerty, Matthew Hamel, Kyle Hamel, Chelsea Siegenfeld, Evan Doherty, Chloe Doherty, Zachary Hamel, Joshua Hamel, James Hamel and Madison Hamel. Loving great nana of Clara Hamel, Emmeline, Elizabeth and Colin Haggerty. Sister of Joseph and Paul Errico, the late Jean McManus and Richard Errico.
Due to the current health pandemic funeral services will be private. Priscilla will be laid to rest at the Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Charitable contributions may be made in Priscilla's memory to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Dr., Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
