Laura (Vincent) Sequeira, age 95, a resident of Plymouth for over 35 years and formerly of Taunton, passed away on September 20, 2017 at Newfield House in Plymouth with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel M. Evangelho, Jr. and the late Antonio P. Sequeira.
Laura was born in North Dighton, a daughter of the late Armindo and Mary (Lope) Vincent.
Mrs. Sequeira was a loving and caring person who enjoyed playing with grandchildren and great grandchildren, dancing, gardening and cooking. She was a communicant at St. Anthony Church in Taunton and St. Peter Church in Plymouth.
Laura was the loving mother of Laura Hill and her husband David of Plymouth and Celeste Cash of Brewster, Ma, grandmother of Derek Cash-Peterson of Medford, MA, Jeffrey Hill of Colorado Springs, CO, Jennifer Spencer of Plymouth, MA, Danielle Savery of Brewster, MA, great-grandmother of Jami Savery, Adam Spencer, Brennen Savery, Kimberly Savery, Chloe Savery, Madison Spencer, Emma Spencer, Tyler Hill, Jacoby Hill, Ethan Cash-Peterson, and Grace Spencer. She was the sister of Mary Rebello of North Dighton, MA and Madeline Avilla of New Smyrna Beach, FL. Laura was also the mother in law of the late Francis Cash, grandmother of the late Gregory Hill, great-grandmother of the late Bryan Spencer, and sister of the late Rose Macedo , Celeste Fernandes, James Vincent, Frank Vincent and the late Joseph Vincent.
A graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:30 am in Saint Joseph Cemetery 475 East Britannia St, Taunton MA. (Family and friends may assemble at the main gate of the cemetery at 11:15 am)
The family would like to thank Geoffrey Stewart and the incredible staff of the Newfield house for making Laura’s last 14 months a wonderful experience.
