Robert F. Bannister Sr., 59 of Londonderry, NH died Thursday September 22, 2005 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA. Bob was born in Everett, MA on September 27, 1945 a son of the late George F. and Margaret (Keenan) Bannister Sr. Bob had resided in Londonderry for the past 36 years, formerly living in Billerica, MA. From 1977-1992 Bob enjoyed racing stockcars at Hudson Speedway, Lee USA Speedway and Star Speedway in Epping. Bob was also involved in several Hot Rod car clubs in Southern New Hampshire. He was the owner and operator of Robert Bannister Concrete Floors in Londonderry for the last 30 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his 1923 T-Bucket. Bob loved his children and grandchildren and the time they spent together.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol A. (Boisse) Bannister of Londonderry, five daughters, Christine Carlise and her husband Adam of Candia, NH, Lisa Allen and her husband Daniel of Londonderry, Patricia Perry and her husband Bruce of Manchester, NH, Karen LaMontagne of Nashua, NH, Robin Bannister of Londonderry, one son, Robert F. Bannister Jr. and his wife Karen of Francistown, NH, four grandchildren, David, Jaclyn, Cassandra and C.J., two brothers, George F. Bannister Jr. of Londonderry, Michael Bannister of Tennessee, one sister, Grace McIntyre of Tennessee, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norman and Margaret Boisse of Londonderry.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday September 27th at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry. Calling hours were on Monday from 2 -4 and 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
