Martha E. Cross
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, December 21, 2015, Mrs. Martha Cross, 66, wife of 46 years to Alan J. Cross.
Martha Gene spent her youth in Atlanta but has lived in Augusta for the last 26 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved sports especially golf. She enjoyed traveling, and was musically and artistically inclined. She was a member of the Goshen Ladies Golf Group. She loved her grandchildren and being with each one of them. Martha Gene lived life to the fullest and always was up for any adventure that came her way. She was a two time cancer survivor.
Family members, in addition to her husband, include her son: Robert Cross and wife Keri; daughter: Margaret Robert and her husband Tory; brother: Marshall Combs and wife Jean; and grandchildren: Caroline, Tyler, and Landon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Rev. Chip Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
