In Weston on September 24, 2015. Beloved son of the late E. Corbett & Norinne C. (Feeny) Walsh. Brother of Bonnie Stoloski, (Mrs. William J. Stoloski) of Cumberland Foreside, Maine, Robert B. Walsh of Norwood, Thomas F. Walsh of Scituate, Quentin I. Walsh of Wellesley, Inez Moore, (Mrs. Thomas Moore) of Scituate and Toni Curry, (Mrs. Brian Curry) of Plymouth. Father is survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as his many Jesuit Brothers. Reposing at Campion Center, 319 Concord Rd., WESTON. Visiting Hours Tuesday Sept. 29 from 3-5 pm with a prayer service at 4:30 pm. Concelebrated Funeral Mass in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, Campion Center on Wednesday Sept. 30 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will follow in Campion Center Cemetery. A graduate of Roxbury Latin School, Fr. Walsh attended the College of the Holy Cross for two years before entering the Society of Jesus. His Jesuit studies were at Weston College (for Philosophy), the Jesuitenkolleg at the University of Innsbruck, Austria (for Theology), Purdue University (for Mathematics) and Marquette University (for Theology). His apostolic assignments included teaching at Boston College High School, the University of Scranton, Creighton University, and Marquette University, where he also served as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Fr. Walsh’s pastoral assignments were in Jamaica (B.W.I.) and Tanzania, in Africa. He also served as director of the Jesuit Mission Bureau in Boston, where he was the Assistant to the Provincial for communications and special projects. In recent years, Fr. Walsh assisted in several local parishes, notably in Concord, Belmont, Maynard, and Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jesuit Community, Campion Center 319 Concord Rd. Weston, MA. 02493 to support its ministry of care for elderly and infirm Jesuits.
