In Raynham, August 18, 2015 John J. Quinn Sr. beloved husband of the late Mary (Hickey) Quinn died peacefully at his home with his family by his side at the age of 87. Born in Bronxville, NY, John was the son of the late Michael and Jane (Ouellette) Quinn. He was a graduate of BMC Durfee and Rhode Island School of Design. John was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean War on the USS Borrie Naval Ship. He was a retired Mechanical Engineer for American Tourister and he also worked at the Raynham Taunton Dog Track. John was a member of the Tin Can Sailors of Somerset. He loved spending time with his family, reading and watching the New England Patriots. He waited for the day to be reunited with the love of his life, his late wife Mary. John was the father of Kevin Quinn and his wife Jeanne of Taunton, Thomas Quinn and his wife Toni of Raynham, Edward Quinn and his wife Doreen of Berkley, Paul Quinn and his wife Mary of Raynham, John Quinn and his wife Erin of Berkley, Kathleen Quinn and her husband Patrick of Raynham, Mary Patten and her husband Steve of Taunton, Susan England and her husband Norman of Assonet and the late Michael Quinn and his wife Cynthia of CA. Grandfather of twenty seven Grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Brother of the late Eileen Lovering of Tonawanda, NY and the late Jane Langfield. Uncle of Many Nieces and Nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Tuesday, August 25th at 8:45 AM. A Mass will be held at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 10 AM. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment St Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River.
