Janet M. Chabot, 85 years, of North Andover and formerly of Methuen, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at her late residence. Mrs. Chabot was born on February 22, 1930 in Salisbury to the late Alphonse and Emelia Mercier. Janet was the proud wife of a United States Marine, who served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During her husband’s 20 years of active service for his country, Mrs. Chabot traveled across the county with her husband and children. Janet was a member of St. Monica's Parish and Choir as well as the Happy Hearts of Methuen Senior Center. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and caring for her extended family.
Mrs. Chabot was the beloved wife of Ronald R.J. Chabot, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Donna Wajon and her husband Eddy of Western Australia, Susan Hutchinson and her husband Bob of Hillsboro, NH, Patricia Williams and her husband Steve of Bristol, NH, and James Chabot and his wife Theresa of Derry, NH. She was the cherished grandmother of Aaron, Brooke, Brianna and Nina and the cherished great grandmother of Zach, Sage, Hunter, Gaven and Payton. Janet was the dear sister of Antoinette and the late Yvette, Raymond, Lorraine, Gladys and Edward Mercier. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She has also served in the capacity as Parent, Aunt or Grandmother to many more.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 9:00AM at St. Monica's Parish, 214 Lawrence St. Methuen.
