Barbara Breen Saint Aubin, 90, of South Dartmouth died Monday January 19, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late George A. and Eleanor (O'Neil) Breen, she lived in South Dartmouth for many years. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School, Class of 1942.
Barbara was formerly employed for many years at the Rotch, Jones, Duff House in New Bedford. She had also been a volunteer at the St. Luke's Hospital Gift Shop.
Of the many activities that she participated in, she most enjoyed her time with family and friends. She volunteered for many Bishop Stang High School functions and Friends of Buttonwood Park activities. She was a member of the Dartmouth Republican Town Committee and served as a Dartmouth Town Meeting member.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda DesRoches of Rotonda West, FL and Patricia Saint Aubin and her husband, Ralph Greggs of Norfolk; a brother, George Breen of Virginia; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Caitlin Saint Aubin; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Steven N. Saint Aubin, her former husband, George A.D. Saint Aubin, and her siblings, Robert Breen, Kathleen Breen, and E. Ruth Gagnon.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Saturday January 24, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 783 Dartmouth St., South Dartmouth. A private family burial service will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
