Joshua D. “Josh” McCrohan, 34 of N. Dighton, formerly of Berkley passed away suddenly on Wednesday December 17, 2014 at Morton Hospital. Mr. McCrohan was the proud father of Nathan McCrohan of Attleboro. He was the loving son of Jerry and Elizabeth (Mitchell) McCrohan of Berkley. Josh is survived by his cherished fiancée Alexis Brecher of N. Dighton. Mr. McCrohan leaves behind his brother Jesse and sister-in-law Stephanie of Fall River. He was the loving uncle of Kaylee and Godfather of Skylar, Carter, and Kaitlyn. Josh is also survived by his dear grandmother Ruth, his uncle Jeff , his cousin Jeff Jr., as well as several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is reunited with his grandparents the late John and Gladys McCrohan, Peter Mitchell, and Bob McCarthy.
Josh was born on March 20, 1980 in Taunton and was raised in Berkley, MA. He graduated from Bristol-Plymouth High School and went on to trade school. Josh was a licensed Master plumber and last worked with Thomas J. Kennedy Heating and Plumbing Co. of E. Taunton. Along with being a skilled plumber, Josh was an all-around “Mr. Fix-It”. He truly enjoyed helping other people and was kind and compassionate to friends and strangers alike. He and his fiancée Alexis had proudly purchased their first home just 2 months ago and were planning to be married and start their family. Family was everything to Josh and he was a loving father, fiancé, son, brother and friend. He will be loved and remembered for his hard work, his humor, his faith, and his kindness.
Visiting Hours will be held on Monday December 22nd from 5-8pm at Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St. (off route 140/Tremont St.) Taunton 508-821-7771. A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Tuesday December 23rd at Berkley Congregational Church 13 South Main St. Berkley. Josh will be laid to rest in the McCrohan Family plot in Fox Cemetery in Berkley.
