Margaret (Bouchard) Darrow, 97, formerly of Norwich and Old Lyme, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014. She was married to William M. Darrow who predeceased her in 1989.
Margaret was an award winning and published poet. Margaret worked for Westinghouse in East Haddam, CT on the prototype of a nuclear power plant and later she was the Administration Assistant for Governor Thomas Meskill. She was a Junior Editor for Prentice Hall Publishers. She loved scrabble and reading poetry. She was involved in numerous arts and craft activities and was a volunteer for senior recreation activities.
She was the beloved mother of Margaret Hermes (Frederick), and Christina Dimick and of the late Anne Sullivan. She was the loving grandmother of CDR Glena Tredinnick, USCG Ret. (John), Megan Rios, Christopher Skikas, Dr. Joshua Beebe (Susan), Allyson Johnson (Eric), and Jeremy Beebe (Elizabeth) as well as the cherished great-grandmother (GG) of Peter Sanchez, Karla Rios, Samuel Beebe, William Beebe, and Summer Beebe and Beatrix Johnson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11 am at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, 184 Salem Turnpike, Norwich.
