TAUNTON – Hilda (Andrade) Medeiros of Taunton, died at the Life Care Center of Raynham on Sept. 18, 2014.
She was 98.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Evangelina (Sai) Andrade.
A lifelong resident of Taunton, she attended Taunton Schools.
Mrs. Medeiros was employed by the former Paul A. Dever School as a nursing attendant for over twenty-one years, retiring in 1982.
A member of the Oakland Seniors and past president of the Portuguese American Civic Club, she also enjoyed bingo and casinos.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Michael Dias of Taunton, Mark Siegenthaler of Ohio and Michelle Siegenthaler of Ohio; her son-in-law, Robert Dias of Taunton; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Lorraine Dias and Mary Jean Siegenthaler, and the sister of the late Joseph, William, Alfred, Edward, Arthur and Irene Andrade.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Sept. 26th at 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of The Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. prior to the funeral mass.
