PROVIDENCE…Anthony Stevens, 52, of Fall River passed away, Friday, August 8, 2014 after a brief illness.
He was born in Fall River a son of Norma (Mogardo) Stevens and the late Clyde “Rocky” Stevens and been a lifelong resident of this city.
He was employed as an Assistant Residential Supervisor at Meadowridge in Swansea for 22 years retiring in May of this year due to illness.
Anthony was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church in Fall River. He was a volunteer with the Thomas Chew Memorial Boys and Girls Club in Fall River, Make a Wish Foundation, City Cleanup, the Thomas Giunta Memorial Road Race, New England Patriots Alumni Club, and he was an Avid Sports fan especially all Boston Teams.
Mr. Stevens served in the United States Army National Guard.
Survivors include his mother, a son Jared Stevens of Dartmouth, 5 brothers: Clyde Duarte, Alan Stevens, Lamar Stevens all of Fall River, Steven Tucker, of New Bedford, and Corey Luz and his wife Kim of Fall River, 3 sisters: Joanne Spardella and her husband Louis, Shelly Seabrook both of Fall River, and Stephanie Kelly, 3 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Terry Duarte.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday 8PM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River. Calling hours will be Wednesday 5 – 8 P.M.
