John Trotta, Jr., 55, of North Scituate died Monday, July 21, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Renee L. (Regnault) Trotta. They were married for 25 years.
Born in New York, he was a son of Agnes (Bartell) Trotta of Smithtown, NY and the late John Trotta. He had lived in Scituate for 14 years, previously living in Johnston.
He is also survived by his cherished children: John Trotta III, Maria Rose and Adrianna Trotta all of North Scituate; two sisters, Christine Mais of King George, VA, JoAnn Shea of Sayville, NY and a brother, Michael Trotta of Smithtown, NY. He was the brother of the late James Trotta.
A loving man, devoted husband and father who adored his family and treasured life, John cherished every day. His greatest joy: his family. John dedicated his days to ensuring the happiness of others. Formerly a truck driver for Shea Trucking before retiring, the consummate handy man, avid car enthusiast and natural comedian, he became the ultimate Mr. Mom and a phenomenal cook. He was spirited, full of wisdom and a good listener. He enjoyed his life.
John was a giver whose love and friendship was far reaching. In our hearts, he will forever remain.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am in St. Joseph Church, Danielson Pike, North Scituate. Burial is private. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-8pm.
