Latrelle Nagles, 75, of Sycamore died Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Golden Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Chula. Rev. Jack Perrin and Rev. L. A. “Sonny” Pate will officiate with burial to follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Chula. Henry Lumsden, Kyle Montfort, Jim Byrd, Harlee Townson, Kem Gilley, Ronnie Sumner, Jeff Hilton and John Pratt will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 13, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Nagles will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Nagles was born on September 30, 1938 in Madison, Florida and was the daughters of Nathan Monroe Fowler and Addie Della Wright Fowler, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two granddaughters, Paula Pendarvis and Danielle Nicole Dowdy; one brother, A. T. Fowler; and one sister, Mary Hendley. She was retired from motel management and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Chula. She loved her family dearly.
Mrs. Nagles is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Winfred and Debra Dowdy of Sycamore and Nathan and Judy Dowdy of Mystic; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Donnie Holton of Brookfield; one brother, Russell Fowler of New Orleans, Louisiana; one sister, Elaine Barton of Quitman; seven grandchildren, Amy Poore and husband Raymond, Wendy Coney, Winfred Dowdy Jr., Misty Hooks, Jennifer Rodriguez, April Lasseter and husband Stacey and Brooke Garland; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
