Obituary

Ethan P. Connolly, 19, of Medway died tragically on Friday, October 18, 2013 in Glasgow, DE after being accidentally struck by a motor vehicle. He was the beloved son of Bryan and Susan (Shea) Connolly.

Born in Boston on March 3, 1994, Ethan resided in North Reading until moving to Medway in 1999.

Ethan graduated from Medway High School in 2012 where he lettered in both Football and Baseball. He was currently a student at the University of Delaware where he was a brother in the Theta Chi fraternity.

A huge history fan, Ethan also loved to play basketball with his friends, who remember him as one of the nicest, sweetest kids with a wonderfully goofy sense of humor. He was selfless, had great empathy and loved to make connections with people.

In Ethan’s own words from his Twitter account, “Sometimes life ain't fair and when you feel that way you got to stay strong” and “Honestly I love anyone I've had a positive memory with.”

Besides his parents, he is survived by his grandmother Marjorie Shea of Revere and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was the grandson of the late Patrick and Claire Connolly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Friday, October 25 at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Ethan Connolly Scholarship Fund c/o Medway High School, 88 Summer St., Medway, MA 02053.
