John Charles “Jay” Driscoll, Jr (58) beloved husband and best friend for 35 years of the late Michelle (Buckley) Driscoll, father, son, brother, “Papa”, uncle and friend passed away peacefully in his home on July 11, 2013.
He is survived by his children John (Kristen) Driscoll, Emily (Gregg) Rivinius, Patrick (Stephanie) Driscoll; four grandchildren, Lillian Rivinius, Madeline Driscoll, Cooper Rivinius and Bailey Driscoll; his mother, Mary Driscoll; his siblings, Hank, Dick, Peggy, Michael, Mark, Maureen and an extensive, loving family.
Jay was born January 27, 1955 to Mary and John Driscoll. He grew up in Arlington, MA. A natural athlete and brilliant “numbers man”, he attended BC High then received his Bachelors and Masters in Accounting from Bentley College where he also served as the captain of both the soccer and tennis teams. He founded J.C. Driscoll, CPA, P.C., in Bedford, NH in 1986 and later became CFO for Insight Technologies in Londonderry, NH and Rochester Precision Optics in Rochester, NY.
Always humble and unassuming, Jay will be remembered as a committed man who gave of himself with strength, faith, conviction and determination. Fun-loving and eagerly engaged, he will be sorely missed by his family, friends, business associates and community. He has joined the love of his life in heaven and together they will be the guardian angels for their grandchildren.
A funeral mass was celebrated on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Saint Anselm Abbey Church with his good friend, Father Iain MacLellan, OSB officiating.
