Mr. Richard McCann, 61, of Methuen, died Sunday at Lawrence General Hospital. Born in Methuen Mr. McCann had been an area resident all his life. He served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. Mr. McCann worked as a teacher at Somerville High School for 32 years. He attended Alpha Fitness Taekwondo for 21 years and held his 2nd dan belt. Mr. McCann enjoyed spending time with his family and friend. Son of the late Francis and Tryphena (Funderburk) McCann and brother of the late Hurley F. McCann, he is survived by his wife of 41 years Theresa (Therrien) McCann of Methuen, one daughter: Shannon and her husband David Goulet of Lawrence, two sons: Alexander McCann and his wife Staci of Manchester, NH, and Benjamin McCann of Methuen. One brother: Ronald F. McCann of Manchester, NH there are five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover.
