Obituary

Joseph A. Therrien, 30, of Manchester, NH died February 8th, 2013 in a car accident (caused by a medical condition).

He was the beloved son of Andre L. Therrien and Marianne Gauci Therrien of Franco American and Maltese descent.

As a devoted Catholic, his faith in God and his family were what he cherished most. He deeply loved the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist and spoke of the peace and comfort he found in them.

He attended St. Casimir Grammar School until 3rd grade, was then home schooled until 11th grade and graduated from Goffstown High School.

He was gifted at working as a counselor for the Don Bosco Boys’ Camp and the Catholic Diocesan Camp – Camp Fatima as a guide and leader for campers with special needs - ages 8 to 80. Joey also volunteered at Catholic Medical Center.

Landscaping and retail are some of the fields in which he was employed and where he earned multiple awards for distinguished service.

In spite of the challenges of having Tourette’s syndrome, he was an inspiration to all who knew him. His passion for life was remarkable. His favorite motto was “Life is good”. He touched many lives with his love, radiant smile and outgoing personality.

He is survived by his loving parents and sister Maria and the loves of his life, his beautiful wife Kari and his precious daughter Amaris Mercy and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including his lifelong best friend, Dan Radlinski – all of whom loved and cherished him.

He enjoyed trips to Lake Massebesic to watch the sunrise, hikes in the woods with his father and walks on Ogunquit Beach. Joey also had a great passion for all kinds of music. He enjoyed going to concerts and listening to his vast collection of CD’s. Amaris, his 15 month old daughter, was the absolute joy of his life. He was a proud father and loved taking her for walks and enjoyed reading to her. He will be greatly missed as a husband and father.

We all mourn our loss but rejoice in celebrating the wonderful life he lived. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, Amen.

Calling hours will be on Monday from 4 to 8 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. Manchester. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave. Committal prayers will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd.
