Alice A. (Gaumond) Benway, 80, of 128 Main St., passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in her home.
Her husband, Kenneth R. Benway died in 1992.
She leaves a son; Shawn E. Benway and his wife Lisa of Oxford, 2 grandchildren; Owen Benway and Nickole Goding, a great grand-daughter; Ariana Goding, daughter-in-law; Kelleen J. Benway, 2 sisters; Dolores Hubert of Thompson, Ct., and Jeanne Kruzel of Auburn, a brother; Richard Gaumond of Ct.
Besides her husband, Alice was predeceased by 2 sons; Dana J. and Daryl J. Benway and her grand-daughter, Abigail J. Benway, 3 brothers; Laurent, C.Bernard and Leonard Gaumond and a sister Doris Duquette.
Alice was born in No. Grosvenordale, Ct., a daughter of Amedee and Marie A. (St. Germain) Gaumond and has lived in Oxford for many years.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Benway Florist in Oxford.
The Funeral will be Saturday, November 3, 2012 with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Roch’s Church, 334 Main St. Burial will be in North Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be Friday, November 2, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM at the Robert J. Miller-Oxford Funeral Home, 247 Main St. (Route 12).
