Obituary

Pauline E. (England) Duhamel, age 73, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Brockton, died May 30, 2012 in Florida. Pauline inspired her family and friends with her willingness and strength to withstand the hardships of cancer. She was the loving wife of Raymond G. Duhamel. Born, raised and educated in England, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Ellen E. (Tilley) England. Pauline met her husband Ray, originally from Brockton, when he was stationed with the Air Force in England, and they were married in June 1957. They moved to the United States where she started and raised her family. Pauline was loved for her beauty, kindness and understanding. She had an extremely kind heart for children and for her extended family and friends. Pauline was always caring and concerned for the people that shared her life.
Pauline was the mother of Debbie Puma and her husband Michael of Florida, Paul Duhamel and his wife Maricela of North Providence, RI, and the late Michelle Duhamel; grandmother of Nichole, Nicholas and Mitchell and as Pauline put it lovingly, adopted grandmother of Mary, Molly and Nicole. She was the sister of Ellen Chesterman, Harriett Axton and George W. England all of Wantage, England, Joyce Stoter of East Hendred, England, Eileen Gask of Coventry, England, Joseph R. England and Barbara Naylon both of Poole, England and Kenneth England of East Bridgewater, MA. She also leaves Eric Hecht, father of Nicholas Duhamel, Michelle’s son, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday, October 12, 2012, 10-11am, followed by a funeral home service at 11am. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
