BEVERLY: Therese (Beauvais) Mehu, 78, formerly of Gloucester, died early Monday morning, September 3, 2012 in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington, following complications of a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Denis Mehu, who died in November of 2001.
Born in San Marcos, Haiti on October 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Eutepsie P. (Gilles) Beauvais.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Josiane and Michael Arel; two sons, Patrice Mehu and Philippe Mehu; her fiance, Ed Howard, eight grandchildren, Christopher Lee Mehu, Brenden Patrice Mehu, Samantha Mehu, Alexander Mehu, Joshua Mehu, Jade Marie Mehu, Alba Michelle Tormo Mehu, Kai Lucas Tormo Mehu
She was also predeceased by her son, Romuald "Romeo" Mehu this past May.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday morning in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 - 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery.
