Elizabeth M. (Chronchio) Fortin, 83, of 30 Pleasant St. died Wednesday, July 18 in her home after an illness.
Her husband Raymond A. Fortin died in 2004. She leaves three sons Arthur Fortin and his wife Deborah of Michigan, Robert Fortin and his wife Marie of Paxton and Paul Fortin and his wife Judy of Leicester, three daughters Susan Fortin of East Brookfield, Cathy Brouillard and her husband Joseph of Leicester and Ann Marie Fortin and Dean J. Largesse, Sr. of Leicester, a brother Matteo Chronchio of West Boylston, a sister Joanna Salvatore of Worcester, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers Albert & Anthony Chronchio and two sisters Estelle & Rita Desroches.
Mrs. Fortin was born in Worcester, daughter of Nicholas and Albina (Mancini) Chronchio. She worked for many years at Brown Shoe Co. and retired from the Ramada Inn in Auburn where she worked as a housekeeper. She was a member at St. Joseph’s Church in Leicester. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her weekly Saturday trips to the hairdresser.
The Funeral will be held Friday, July 20 from MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 759 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research hospital, P.O. Box 1818, Memphis, TN. 38101
