Pauline J. (Potter) Tavares, 80 of Somerset, passed away June 2, 2012. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Tavares and the daughter of the late Ernest F. Potter Sr. & Rolande (Gaudreau) Reinelt, formerly Potter. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Tavares worked at the Congregation Adas Israel Synagogue in Fall River as an accountant. She was a parishioner and a past officer of the Women’s Guild at St. Patrick’s Church, Somerset. She was a 40 year member and past Treasurer for the Somerset Friends of Music, a former Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, and past Treasurer for the B.M.C. Durfee Class of 1949 Reunion Committee.
She is survived by her two children: Michael E. Tavares of Norton, MA and Karen M. Tavares of Blairstown, NJ; granddaughters: Lauren & Jenna Tavares; siblings: Jeanne Davis Ashworth of Swansea, Jacqueline Bartoga of Fall River, late Ernest F. Potter Jr. & the late Raymond E. Potter; several nieces & nephews. Pauline was the stepdaughter of the late Herbert Reinelt.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on FRIDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church, Somerset at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
