SALEM - Jane (Drabinowicz, Dragonas) Bourinot, 89, of Beverly, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died after a brief illness on Sunday, January 15th, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in 1922 in Salem, MA she was the daughter of the late John and Malvina (Nowick) Drabinowicz. She grew up on Kosciusko St in Salem, attended Salem schools and was a Nurse’s Aide during the Second World War. In 1945 she married Peter N. Dragonas of Salem and they had 4 children together. Her beloved husband Peter passed away in 1960. In 1962 she met and married Bruce A. Bourinot of Winchester. She was employed by Hot Watt of Danvers until her retirement. Jane was a very active swimmer, she enjoyed camping, traveling, playing Bingo at St. John’s in Salem, was very active parishioner of the St. John the Baptist Church, Salem, and was especially involved with the Church’s Booster’s club. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by her children and spending time with their families.
Jane is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bruce Bourinot, her four children: Peter Dragonas and his wife Laurie of Marblehead; Barbara Sefcik and her husband Francis of Cape Coral, FL; Joyce Thibodeau and her husband Bruce of Marblehead; David Dragonas and his wife Stephanie of Amesbury, her seven grandchildren: Nicholas, Hannah, Scott, Keri, Jonathan, Jeremy, and Michael and three great grandchildren, Harrison, Amber and Nicole. In addition to her first husband, Peter, she is predeceased by her granddaughter Christie Sefcik and her brother Joe Drabinowicz. Jane was especially well loved by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the St. John the Baptist Church, St. Peter St., Salem. Visiting hours are Wednesday, 4 to 8 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial is in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
