Danny Frank Bracy, 66, of Clarksville, TN, died on Saturday December 17, 2011 at his residence. He was born on May 23, 1946 in Clarksville, TN to the late George Franklin Bracy and Barbara Irene Heflin Bracy. He was also preceded in death by an uncle and aunt who raised him; Clarence Carl and Margie Heflin Davenport.
A Celebration of life service will be held Wednesday December 21, 2011 at 10 AM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Pastors Brad Epperson and Russell Bracy officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday December 20, 2011 from 4-7 PM and Wednesday December 21, 2011 from 9 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Dan was a US Army veteran having served as a military advisor in Vietnam. He was also a CPA and former owner of Clarksville Bookkeeping and Tax Service. He was a member of New Hope Church of God in Big Rock, TN. He received a Bachelors Degree from APSU, a Masters Degree from Georgia State, and a CPA Certification from the State of Georgia.
He is survived by his wife; Susan Elaine Bracy, a son; Danny Frank "Scooter" Bracy, Jr. of Sarasota, FL, four step-sons; Timothy Michael (Laura) Kelley of Orlando, FL, James Anthony (Jo'Ann) Kelley of Griffin, GA, William Terrell Kelley of Jackson, GA, and Jason Ernest (Leslie) Capps of Clarksville, TN, a step-daughter; Heidi Melissa (Bruce) Oechsel of Clarksville, TN, a half-sister; Vonda Faye Novak of Clarksville, TN, a half-brother; Barry Franklin Bracy of Cumming, GA, a step-brother; Kenneth Joel Watkins of Powder Springs, GA, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
