| Gear, Arthur Joseph "Frenchie" of Jamaica Plain, Born Sept. 30, 1944 and passed Dec. 9, 2011, unexpectedly from medical conditions. He was 67 years old. Son of the late Edward & Edna (Merrifield) Gear. Father of Annmarie Gear of Florida, Arthur Joseph Gear Jr., of Roslindale, Laura Gear Oliver, of Portsmouth, RI, Thomas Gear and Anthony Gear both of Cranston, RI. Brother of Kenneth Gear and his wife Annette of Braintree, Sandra Beattie Gear of Dedham, Robert Gear and his wife Doris of Readville and the late Edward Gear, Jr. and Shirley Smith Gear. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Stepson to Herbert "Chick" Cossitt. Nephew of the late Marie Thistle. Arthur served proudly in the US ARMY in the Vietnam Era and worked in construction and in the US Postal Service. May Arthur Rest in Peace, for he was loved by all his family and friends and those who knew him. Visiting hours will be held at the Brady Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Thursday December 15 from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are invited.
