Mary T. Morrissey, 76, of Klondike Street, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Roger Williams Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Eugene L. Morrissey for 56 years.
A life long resident of Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Chase) McElroy.
Besides her husband she is survived by her children: Jean Geer and Kevin Lonergan of Providence, former son in law David Geer of Fall River, MA, Kevin Morrissey and his wife Nadine of Pascoag, Colleen Morrissey-Levins and her husband Chet of Shrewsbury, MA, Kathleen Lonardo and her husband John of Harrisville, grandchildren: Jayson and his wife Dalana and her two children of Eureka, CA, David Geer and his wife Amanda of West Warwick, Courtney Charland and her husband Dennis of Braintree, MA, Scott Geer of Johnston, Caitlin and Erin Geer of Providence, Kevin and Michaela Morrissey of Pascoag, Kasey, Kimberly, and Jack Lonardo of Harrisville, Joseph Levins of Shrewsbury MA, great grandson Braeden of West Warwick and another great grandchild (Poppy) due in April 2012. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jack McElroy.
Funeral Wednesday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial in RI Veteran’s Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm.
