Edward R. Jameson, Jr., 77 Dateline: Mansfield, MA Edward R. Jameson, Jr., age 77, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Deborah L. (Kubichek) Jameson, to whom he was wed for fifty-three years. Born in Brockton, MA on September 17, 1947, Ed grew up in Mansfield and was a 1965 graduate of Mansfield High School. He continued his studies, graduating in 1970 from Texas A & M with a Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation. Mr. Jameson passed on his knowledge of landscape design to the many students he taught throughout the years at East Providence High School, Attleboro High School and Lexington High School. In 1978, while teaching, he proudly founded E.R. Jameson, Jr. Landscaping in Mansfield, which today is still owned and operated by his son, who took over the company in 2001. Ed’s affiliations included being a member of the Massachusetts Chapter Association of Former Students of Texas A & M and the Association of Landscape Contractors of Massachusetts. Well-known in the Mansfield community, Ed’s greatest joy was spending time with his adoring family, especially his treasured grandchildren and will always be remembered for his strong work ethics. While his children were growing up, Ed attended all of their sporting events, was an avid supporter of youth sports and helped design and develop the Otis Street Baseball Complex in West Mansfield. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted children, Edward R. Jameson, III and his wife Marissa of Mansfield and Jacquelyn D. Palmieri and her husband Ryan of Mansfield. He was the cherishing and loving grandfather of Dani, Eddie IV and Kyle Jameson and Brynlee, Brooks and Brileigh Palmieri. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, April 25th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
