Michael L. Call, age 66, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family at Bridges by Epoch at Westwood. He was the beloved husband of Susan J. (Healy) Call, to whom he was wed on June 4, 1983.

Born in Boston, MA on November 3, 1958, he was a loving son of the late Lawrence J. and Louise M. (Palmer) Call.

A resident of Mansfield for the past 51 years, Mike was a 1976 graduate of Mansfield High School. He was employed as an Elevator Mechanic for I.U.E.C Local 4 Boston and previously managed Fred’s Auto Repair in Mansfield for many years. Along with his family, Mike was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield.

Mike was always happiest when spending time amongst family and friends, especially with his three grandsons and at the family’s second home in Hiram, Maine. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades and had the ability to make or fix just about anything. Even in his last days, Mike maintained his witty sense of humor. His warm smile and contagious laugh brightened up any room he entered.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted daughters, Lindsay A. Herrick and her husband Tom of Mansfield and Jennifer L. McKay of Mansfield. Mike was the cherished and proud grandfather of Tommy Herrick, Nolan Herrick and Brayden McKay, all of Mansfield. He was the dear brother of Kathleen LoDico and her husband Paul of Mansfield, James M. Call of Florida, Kenneth W. Call and his wife Theresa of North Easton and Elizabeth R. Lynch of Dennis and her late husband Steven Lynch. He is also survived by his much-loved brothers and sisters-laws, nieces and nephews, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Through thick and thin, Mike's loyal group of friends stood by his side. For years, the highlight of his week was Tuesday dinner with his buddies. Mike had an incredible presence and he left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him including his faithful companion, Bella.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, April 24th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 25th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be held privately at a later date at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
