Virginia Lee "Schwieger

Virginia Lee "Jenny" (Livingston) Schwieger of Anderson died April 10, 2025 at Rawlins House Nursing Home in Pendleton.
She was born May 2, 1940 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of William and Hope (McKinstry) Livingston.
Jenny published a book called: Kaleidoscope of Joy and that word, Kaleidoscope, is very descriptive of her whole life. Her ministry with the Women of the Church of God was very important to her and in that capacity, she served in various offices nationally including as vice-president, as president of the Indiana chapter twice, and as convention leader and speaker numerous times. Jenny served with the National Association Women of the Church of God in two offices, lastly as vice-president. She also worked with the Caribbean Association and led several mission’s teams to various parts of the world including, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Colombia, and Ecuador. Jenny was fluent in Spanish and served as bilingual secretary for the American Bible Society during her high school years in Panama.
She served as co-pastor with Ruben in several churches and as pastor in Kentucky and Indiana. While co-pastor in Princeton, she was appointed Sheriff’s Chaplin.
She taught third and fourth grade and pre-school and at two churches, established pre-schools for two congregations. As a missionary in Kenya, she taught all grades at a mission school.
Jenny was a gifted musician, both vocally and instrumentally, playing the clarinet, oboe, piano, and organ. Additionally, she was a gifted craftswoman with painting, paper sculpture and wheat-weaving.
Jenny is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ruben Schwieger of Anderson whom she married August 5, 1962; son, Kevin (Kim) Schwieger of Morrow, Ohio; daughter, Donna Zeiber of Bloomington, Indiana; two grandchildren, Logan (Jana) Schwieger and Whitney (David) Hare; four great-grandchildren, Kendall, Carter, Nora and Brandy; two sisters, Ann Hawkins and Gaye Keith.
Jenny was preceded in death by her parents.
No funeral is planned, but donations may be made in her honor to: Indiana South Christian Women Connection through Ruben.
