Gieselman, Janet Anne (Plume) of Weston, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, after a three-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband John, parents, Fred and Dorothy and sister, Susan Kinney. She was a beautiful, kind soul and she is missed.

Her birth on July 26,1937 was a blessing to Fredrick J. Plume and Dorothy M. (Kritzer) Plume in Syracuse, NY. She grew up in Eastwood and attended The Convent School. Janet graduated from LeMoyne College in 1959. She then moved to Guam in 1960 to marry John E. Gieselman in a military service at the catholic church on the islands naval base. Janet’s biggest joy was her six grandchildren: Abby, Peter, David, Conor, Max, and Rex. They were her pride and joy.

After raising her children, Janet went to work for St. Julia’s Parish Weston, MA. She would later work for Blessed Pope John XXIII Seminary, where she was the first person everyone met when they entered the Seminary. She was a shining light for over 20 years there before retiring.
