THISSELL, Gerard R. (Gerry) age 85 of Dedham, formerly of Dorchester and Mashpee, passed away on April 6, 2025.
Loving husband of 63 years of Kathleen (Walsh) Thissell. Devoted father of Katie McCorrison and her husband Jeff of Dedham, Barbara Reardon and her husband Ed of Norwood, and Christine Doherty and her husband Scott of Norfolk. Gerry was the proud Papa of Marty and Jack (Allison) McCorrison, and Owen and Ava Doherty. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Janet Thissell, five brothers Frank, George, Thomas, William, and John and sister Janet Walsh.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty and Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St, Dedham on Friday, April 11 from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held in St Mary of the Assumption Church, 420 High St, Dedham on Saturday, April 12 at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
