Margaret A. Albertini, Dateline: Taunton, MA Margaret A. “Peggy” (O’Brien) Albertini, age 78 , of Taunton, formerly of Mansfield, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 6, 2025. She was the beloved wife of John P. Albertini, to whom she was wed on April 19, 1969. Born in Boston, MA on May 9, 1946, she was a loving daughter of the late James A. and Mary A. (McIntyre) O’Brien. Peggy grew up and lived in Mansfield for most of her life. She was a 1964 graduate of Mansfield High School, a graduate of the Pondville Hospital School of Nursing and a graduate of Bridgewater State College, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Albertini was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. Her working career was spent at various hospitals, nursing homes and agencies and she retired from the Village at Willow Crossings in Mansfield. A resident of Taunton since 2015, Peggy was a communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, a member of St. Andrews Women’s Club and a former longtime parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, where she had also taught CCD. She treasured the times spent amongst her adoring family and Peggy’s hobbies included knitting, sewing, camping, traveling and making clothes for her family. In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Paul J. Albertini and his wife Kristi of Plymouth, Minnesota, Alicia M. Rumley and her husband Robert of Attleboro, Janine M. Arduino and her husband William of Norton and Tara M. Lako and her husband Brian of North Attleboro. She was the cherished and proud grandmother of Zackery, Peyton, Nathan, John, Trey, Kiernan, Jillian, Lily, Cody, Kaitlin and Samantha. She was the dear sister of James O’Brien of Bradenton, Florida, Peter O’Brien and his wife Dinah of Norton, Diane O’Brien of Taunton and the late Dennis O’Brien and Katherine DelGrosso. She is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews and in-laws. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, April 9th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 10th at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
