Luz Minelia Perez (66) of Brockton passed away March 27th in the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital.
She was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Miguel Rivera and Maria Laporte. Luz enjoyed singing and dancing, coffee, going on adventures, socializing with her family and friends. She loved unconditionally, enjoyed helping others and was known as a social butterfly and loved going on adventures.
Luz is survived by her daughter Monica Perez of Brockton, 3 brothers, Maxinino Rivera Laporte, Miguel Angel Rivera Laporte both of Puerto Rico and Celestino Rivera Laporte of Brockton, 4 sisters, Carmen Brunilda Rivera Laporte of Fall River, Maria Rivera Laporte of Puerto Rico, Gisela Rivera Laporte of Puerto Rico, and Mirella Soto of Brockton, also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Luz is preceeded in death by her Son Raphael Perez of Brockton her 2 sisters Olga Nydia Rivera Laporte of New York and Juanita Rivera Laporte of Puerto Rico Her mother Maria Laporte of Puerto Rico and her father Miguel Angel Rivera of Puerto Rico.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton, Monday March 31st from 5-8 pm. Cremation to follow.
