FEEDING HILLS – Normand J. Remillard, 96, of Feeding Hills, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, March 15, 2025. He passed into Eternal Life surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Saint Raphael de Bellechasse, Province of Quebec, Canada on May 7, 1928, a beloved son of the late Joseph Remillard and Adeline (Boucher) Remillard. He was raised and educated in Saint Raphael, Province of Quebec, Canada. Normand and his late wife, Rita, moved to Springfield in 1950 where they raised their family in the North End. In 1981, they moved to Feeding Hills where they lived the remainder of their lives. He was a communicant of the former Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Springfield. He was a Bricklayer and Mason and worked for many years for Antonio Belanger & Sons Mason Contractors. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rita (Picard) Remillard who was Called Home on August 9, 2024. They were married at La Paroisse de Saint Raphael on June 29, 1950 and were blessed with over 74 years of happiness. He was also predeceased by his beloved son, Mark M. Remillard who was Called Home on October 1, 2006. He leaves his five loving and devoted children, Linda M. Remillard and her husband, Vin Fusaro, of Feeding Hills, Richard R. Remillard and his husband, Louis Ruggiero Jr., of Holyoke, Raymond N. Remillard and his wife, Mary, of West Springfield, Robert P. Remillard and his wife, Ela, of Chicopee, and Gary N. Remillard and his wife, Virginia, of Wilbraham; his five cherished grandchildren, Nicole (Mark), Natalie, Nicole (Robbie), Gregory (Bonnie), and Matthew (Kevin); his seven cherished great grandchildren, Isaac, Isaiah, Jimmy, Giara, Jonathan, Olivia, and Aubrey; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members in the United States and Canada. In addition to his parents and son, he was predeceased by his dear sister, and his eight dear brothers. His Funeral and Burial were private.
