David Lee Helton
November 6, 1933- March 19, 2025
David Lee Helton, 91, of Anderson, passed away peacefully at home following a lingering illness on March 19, 2025. He was born on November 6, 1933 in Bloomington, Indiana, the son of Edward and Nellie (Deckard) Helton.
David was a graduate of Purdue University and was employed as an engineer with Delco Remy for over 30 years. He had attended Faith Assembly Church, and was a member of the American Legion, 40 &8 and former Optimist Club member.
He is survived by his wife LaDonna (Fuller) Helton; three children, Randy (Deena) Deckard, Leanne Sturgeon, and David (Kathleen) Helton; four grandchildren, Krista Greenwood, David (Shannon) Helton, Whitney (Chris Strid) Helton, Michael Sturgeon; ten great grandchildren; and a brother, Daniel (Jan) Helton.
Private family graveside services will be held at Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Disabled American Veterans Association.
