Nancy Patricia (Shoener) Davis

CHICOPEE – Nancy P. (Shoener) Davis, 68, of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Thursday, March 13, 2025. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at the US Army Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 5, 1956, a beloved daughter of the late Monroe L. and Patricia A. (McCarthy) Shoener. At a young age her father was relocated to Westover and she lived in Chicopee for the remainder of her life. Nancy graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and then furthered her education and graduated from Dean Vocational in Holyoke where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Furthering her education, Nancy graduated from Holyoke Community College where she became a Registered Nurse. She was first employed at the former Willimansett Nursing Homes in Chicopee and was last employed for 25 years at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. She worked on many units including the floors, the operating room and lastly the wound care clinic. Nancy loved being a nurse and shared the compassion and love she had for others. Most of all, she loved her family, her many friends and the patients she so lovingly cared for during her long career. She leaves her beloved husband and soul mate, Glenn R. Davis. They were married on November 5, 1977 at Saint Anne Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 47 years of happiness together. She also leaves her loving and devoted son, Nathan W. Davis and his wife, Megan, of Chicopee; her loving step-daughter, Michelle L. Davis, of West Springfield; her five cherished grandchildren, Morgan, Savannah, and Nathan, and Marcus and Leaondra; her two cherished great-grandchildren, Raphael and Cielo; her dear sisters, Michelle Kelly and her husband, Gary, of Seattle, WA, her dear brother, Mark Shoener and his wife, Mary, of Manchester, VT; her three dear brothers-in-law, Robert Labrecque of Georgia, Robert Davis and his wife, Gladys, of Chicopee and Gary Davis, of Groton, CT; her two dear sisters-in-law, Carol Hoffman of California and Betty Zabawa and her husband, Ted, of Agawam; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins , numerous friends and extended family members. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving daughter, Danielle Patricia Davis who was Called Home on January 20, 1994; her dear sister, Monica Labrecque, her dear brother-in-law, Steven Hoffman and her dear sister-in-law, Gail Young. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Service of Committal on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Patrick Cemetery, 168 Fuller Road, Chicopee Falls, MA 01020. There are no visiting hours at St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
