Ralph C. Damon, Jr.
3/13/2025

Ralph C. Damon, Jr., of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13th. He was 88. Born and raised in Malden, he was the cherished son of the late Ralph and Harriet (Yoe) Damon. Ralph enlisted into the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He had a long prosperous career as an Industrial photographer with Honeywell and after retirement he worked for Home Depot.

Ralph loved his cameras and had a vast collection. He enjoyed being outside and taking pictures of the delicate details of nature, whether it was a drop of dew on a leaf, ripples on the water on a lake or the intricate details of a tree’s bark. When Ralph was not being creative with his photography skills he was spending time with his granddaughters Moran and Hattie. He would take them out shopping and would then pick up a Regina’s pizza to share. He absolutely adored them.

Ralph enjoyed reading a good book while sipping on Bourbon or a cold glass of beer, watching the weather and researching all the places he wanted to travel too virtually. Ralph was an animal lover and loved to hang out with his fur grand-puppies Salem, Astro, Samantha and Freckles the cat. They had a special place in his heart. Ralph will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of having met him.

Ralph was the beloved husband of the late Norma (Bartalini) Damon. He was the devoted father of Arthur Damon and his wife Kathleen Tyler of Wakefield, and Julia Damon and her husband Scot Silveira of Barre. He was the loving Grandpa of Moran and Hattie Damon. He was the dear brother of the late Gertrude Blomerth and Merrill Damon. He absolutely loved his fur grand puppies Salem, Astro, Samantha and Freckles the cat.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with Ralph’s family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, March 20th from 4 to 8 PM, a funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7 PM.
