Anthony M. “Tony” DeLuca passed away peacefully supported by the love of his family at the Pheasant Wood Center of Peterborough, NH on March 6th. He was 93. A lifelong Medford resident, Tony was the cherished son of the late Antonio and Lucy DeLuca.

Tony was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Tony was a lifelong carpenter, both before and after his time in the service. As a young man he did carpentry for Kaplan Furniture. He also used his carpentry skills for many years as a home builder. His final job as a carpenter was with the Medford Public Schools, from which he entered retirement.

Tony was a dedicated and generous parishioner of Saint Joseph Church, named for a fellow carpenter. Besides his parish, he did what he could to help many causes. In his free time, Tony liked to be outdoors, hunting, fishing or golfing. He was a man who truly loved his family and friends, beginning with his parents, to whom he was very devoted.

Tony was the dear brother of Anna Rosselli and the late Arthur C. DeLuca, Richard W. DeLuca, and Michael DeLuca. He was also a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, March 13th from 10-11 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated in Saint Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
