Rosa Elena Rivera-Gonzales (72) of Brockton passed away on March 3rd in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston.
She was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Francisco Rivera Cabrera and Carmen Rosa Gonzales. Rosa loved dancing to salsa music and enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, and taking care of all her family. She also was known as an animal whisperer, honest, humble, enthusiastic, and faith-driven person.
Rosa is survived by her 2 daughters, Carol Alicea-Rivera and Rosa-Milagros Alicea both of Brockton, 6 brothers, Francisco, Samuel, Rafael, Jesus, Jose, and Carlos, 6 sisters, Carmen, Maria, Margarita, Virginia, Antonia, and Milagros, 2 grandchildren, David-Anthony and Selena, many nieces and nephews, her 2 beloved cats, China and Nube.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton, Thursday, March 20th from 6-9 pm.
Services in the Funeral Home on Friday, March 21st at 11 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Viewing from 9 am prior to services.
