Ora Elizabeth “Liz” Cobble
August 7, 1929- March 2, 2025
Ora Elizabeth “Liz” (Kirby) Cobble, 95, of Anderson went on her walk with the Lord on March 2, 2025 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus following an extended illness.
She was born on August 7, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to the late Charlie and Katy (Bilbrey) Kirby.
She worked in inspection at Guide Lamp for over 38 years and retired in March of 1988. She was a member of the UAW 663.
She was an avid bowler. She enjoyed bowling on several leagues and traveled around the United States going to tournaments. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandkids.
She is survived by her son, Steven A. Cobble II of Anderson; her daughter, Teresa Buis (Thomas) Stramer; two brothers, Jack (Jan) Kirby and Solly Kirby all of Tennessee; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cobble of Hilham, TN; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James Cobble and Mark Cobble; and several siblings.
A private family graveside service will take place in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
