Lucille Eva Allaire

AMHERST – Lucille Eva Allaire passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at her home in Amherst surrounded by the care and comfort of her wonderful caregivers, friends and housemates. She was born in Holyoke on October 19, 1945 a beloved daughter of the late Ovila J. Allaire and Dora C. (Giguere) Allaire and lived in Amherst since 1987. Lucille enjoyed attending the Baroco Day Habilitation Program in Hadley for many years. Lucille had a personality that drew people to her. Her giggle was infectious, and brought joy to those she chose to share that with. Her stature may have been small, but the impact she made on others was large, and she was loved by many. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her baby brother, Robert Allaire and her dear sister, Jeannette R. (Allaire) Martins and her husband, Manuel. She leaves her special friend and guardian who treasured their relationship, Debra A. Ray and her dear niece, Kim E. Sweetland her husband, Karl. Her friends are invited to attend a visiting hour on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 9 am to 10 am at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. (The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home). Following the visiting hour, her friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
