Maria (Marino) Lanzerotta of Medford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26th. She was 97. Maria was the cherished daughter of the late Andrea and Giuseppina (Saia) Marino.

Maria’s biggest passion in life was being a wife, mother and Nonna. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time at her home surrounded by them. Maria was an amazing cook and looked forward to having their family dinners every Sunday and hosting all the holidays. When Maria was not spending time with her family, she enjoyed playing bingo and Italian cards. Maria will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Maria was the beloved wife of the late Giovanni Lanzerotta. She the devoted mother of Giuseppe Lanzerotta and his late wife Alfonsina, and Carmela Tringali and her late husband Vincenzo. She was a loving Nonna to Frankie Tringali, John Tringali and his wife Danielle, Christopher Tringali, John Lanzerotta and his wife Shannon, and Maria Kench and her husband Tom. She was the loving Nonna Maria of Gabrielle, Sofia, John Vincent, Avery, Jacob, Ashlyn, and Luca. She was the dear sister of Italo Marino and his wife Stella, Tina Marino, and her late twin sister Lucia Gabriello and her late husband Salvatore, and the late Lina Tringali, Rosetta Tringali, Giuseppe Marino, Domenico Marino and his late wife Francesca.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Sunday, March 2nd from 4 to 8 PM and again on Monday, March 3rd at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 10 AM. Services will conclude with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maria's name to a charity of one’s choice.
