Yvon “Ti Boule” Tersilas (80), of Norton, MA, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream Hospital in New York.
Born in Petit-Goâve, Haiti, Yvon was the beloved son of the late Lucarne Tersilas and Orsseline Tersilas. He was a man of extraordinary kindness, selflessness, and generosity, always willing to go above and beyond for his family, friends, and community.
A retired taxi driver by trade, Yvon was also a humanitarian at heart. His love for his homeland never wavered, and he dedicated much of his life to giving back to Haiti. Each year, he organized and ran soccer and health clinics, bringing hope, support, and resources to those in need. His passion for soccer extended beyond Haiti; he helped coach soccer camps in Norwood and was actively involved in the Boston-based soccer program, "The Veterans." Additionally, Yvon was a radio host on the Haitian station Radio Tele Planet Compas, using his voice to uplift and connect his community.
Above all, Yvon loved his family. His home was a sanctuary, always open to anyone in need. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support made him a pillar of strength for all who knew him. His passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his loved ones.
Yvon is lovingly remembered by his wife of 21 years, Jacqueline Tersilas; his son, Kevin Tersilas, and his wife, Shaleah, of West Roxbury; his daughter, Diane Tersilas of New York; his son, Yvon Kerven Jean Louis of Haiti; his brother, Eric Tersilas of Florida; his long-time companion, Solange Adam of Norton; and his adoptive son, Luc Albert of New York. He is also survived by a host of extended family, friends, and community members who will deeply mourn his passing.
Yvon’s legacy of love, generosity, and dedication to others will forever live on in the many lives he touched.
