Alcinda Gomes Goncalves (95) of Brockton passed away on February 23rd at home under hospice care surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Mosteiros, Fogo, Cabo Verde, and was the daughter of the late Nicolau Pires Goncalves and Luisa Gomes. Alcinda enjoyed cooking, music, cleaning, caring for her grandchildren, and socializing with her family and friends.
Alcinda is survived by 3 sons, Sebastiao Tavares, Manuel Tavares, and Ivo Gomes Tavares all of Brockton, 3 daughters, Eugenia Tavares and Etelvina Tavares both of Brockton, and Maria Gomes of Cabo Verde, many grandchildren, many great great grandchildren and a great great great granddaughter.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Friday, February 28th from 4-8 pm.
Services in the Funeral Home on Saturday, March 1st at 10 am. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, 163 N Cary Street Brockton.
