Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Anne Marie Skafas (O'Hearn), who passed away on February 18th at the age of 60.

Anne Marie, as she was fondly known, was born on March 5th, 1964 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Richard J. O'Hearn and Nancy  (White) O'Hearn. She grew up alongside her siblings and attended Lynnfield High School and New Hampshire College where she graduated with a degree in Marketing. Anne Marie was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. Her warm personality, infectious smile, and generous heart made her an instant favorite among all who knew her. She had a passion for softball, tennis, golf, and her Golden Retriever "Teddy". She was always loyal to show up and support nephews and nieces sporting events; birthdays and holiday celebrations.

Despite facing many challenges in her life, Anne Marie remained resilient and persevered through it all. She was a fighter till the end, and will be reunited with the love of her life and husband Brian Skafas.

Anne Marie is survived by her pre-deceased Husband and love of her life Brian Skafas, her older brothers, Mark O'Hearn, Brian O'Hearn and Peter O'Hearn and many nieces and nephews.

We will miss her dearly, but take comfort in the fact that she is now in a better place, free from pain and suffering. May her soul rest in eternal peace. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne Marie's name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
