Georgette Sopin (98) of Stoughton died on February 17th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born in Cap-Haitian, Haiti, and was the daughter of the late Pedro Sopin and Celanie (Adema) Sopin. Georgette was a seamstress by trade and attended Immaculate Conception Church. She loved to dance, listen to music, storytelling, and talk politics.
Georgette is survived by 4 sons, Gabriel Sopin of Haiti, Louis Mary Charles of Florida, James Charles of Haiti, and Yves Mary Paris of New York, 4 daughters, Milaune Charles Almonor of New York, Jeosette Charles Jean of Florida, Marie Alourdes Charles of Boston, and Jeanne Paris of Stoughton, a sister Marguerite Sopin of Haiti, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren.
Services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Friday, February 21st at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church, 54 Lyman Street Brockton at 10:30 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
