Charles “Chuck” Bevilacqua, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 surrounded by his family on January 31st. Chuck was born May 13, 1945 in the North End of Boston, the son of the late Michael and Pauline (Mueller) Bevilacqua. Raised in Medford, Chuck enjoyed playing sports and sailing as a youth. He graduated from Suffolk University before going to work for the Boston courts.
Chuck, a respected retired Assistant Chief Probation Officer for Suffolk County Juvenile Court, was known for his dedication to justice and his unwavering commitment to his work. Chuck made a lasting impact on the lives of many individuals throughout his distinguished career in public service.
Chuck was an affable man who seemed to make friends wherever he went. Whether it was playing cards, a game of racquetball, getting haircuts in Boston or going out for a meal, Chuck always enjoyed the company of friends and others. Chuck is survived by his son, Christopher Bevilacqua and his wife, Jennifer of Hamilton, MA and daughter, Taryn (Bevilacqua) Vasquez and her husband, Rada of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Chuck was very proud of this family and had great love for them.
Chuck’s’ greatest pride and joy were his three grandchildren, Olive and Alexander Bevilacqua and Victoria Vasquez. He adored being their “Papa” and spending time with them. His deep affection for them brought him immense joy, and his memory will live on through the stories and moments they shared together.
In his quieter moments, Chuck enjoyed walking by the lake, finding peace in the simplicity of nature and reading a good book. Chuck’s influence on those who knew him will remain a lasting tribute to his strong character and his profound love for his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private service will be held in honor of Chuck’s life and legacy. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Dello Russo Funeral Home at 306 Main Street, Medford from 4pm to 7pm.
